Local Artists > Bruce Baillie
Bruce Michael Baillie has been a regular performer on the
West Yorkshire folk circuit for around 30 years, playing Guitar, Mandola
and Harmonica and of course, singing both traditional and contemporary
songs by such people as Barry Dransfield and Bob Pegg. As well as
this he also performs a number of self-penned songs and monologues such
as the spoof mediaeval ballad ' Wars of the Roses' which takes a typically
biased Yorkshire view on English history , but it is dry, witty and a winner
in the less civilized folk clubs to the east of the Pennines!
In addition to being a singer and musician, Bruce is also a artist, photographer
and graphic designer, having designed most of the publicity material for Cleckheaton
Folk Festival for the past few years.
